Take Your First Steps Toward The Green
So, you’ve finally decided to get into the classiest sport in town. But just like any other sport, taking on golf requires a bit of preparation. Although it may look more complicated than kicking a soccer ball, or shooting a ball through hoops, or punching a heavy bag, or just running, there are a few steps that could make your initial game easier than you expected. Here are a few tips.

Equipment
In golf, equipment is just as important as everything else. Golf gear may cost more than your usual sport, but it needn’t be. As a beginner, the right equipment trumps expensive equipment. Get the necessary clubs such as a driver, hybrid club, irons (2 to 9), wedges, and of course, a putter. Balls, gloves, tees, and a bag should be included as well.
Golf Pro
It may be a good idea to hire a coach or a golf pro to teach you. That way, you can be corrected if ever you have basic mistakes with a posture that need correcting. Golf pros can lay the foundation for your future game. All you need to do is remember the lessons and practice.
Practice
Practice makes perfect indeed. Armed with the knowledge from your golf pro, you can set up a training routine where you can develop your swing. Get the feel of the different clubs and know when to use them.
